Chaithanya Eye hospital and Research Institute was started over a decade ago in 1995. At the time South Kerala lacked an exclusive eye hospital with a concept of all subspecialties in eye care under the same roof .With humble origins Dr KGR Nair’s project took off on the 26th of October 1995.The period to follow saw an exponential rise of patients indicating the confidence and trust that soon developed in the Chaithanya eye care systems. The years saw the institute doing some of the pioneering work in Trivandrum and south Kerala like the first phacoemulisification , vitreoretinal unit PDT TTT Video assisted CME to name some of the few.
The quality of the care given to the patients has made it a name to trust in the field of eyecare and is a distintion we at chaithanya are the most proud of.
