Dr Sameer Iqbal is a Vitreo-Retinal Surgeon with 10 years of working experience following post graduation studies. He completed his MS Ophthalmology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in 2016.

He initially worked as a cataract surgeon following a long-term fellowship in managing general OPD and surgeries like SICS, phacoemulsification and pterygium excision for 2 years.

He later progressed into a surgical vitreo-retina specialist after long-term training in diagnosing and managing various medical and surgical retinal diseases. His expertise includes interpretation of advanced diagnostic procedures such as FFA, ICGA, OCT, OCTA, AF, electrophysiology and performing complex surgical procedures including pars plana vitrectomy, scleral buckling, retinal laser procedures, intravitreal injections, trans-scleral cryopexy and management of ROP.

He is experienced in advanced surgical techniques, accurate patient diagnosis and comprehensive postoperative care.

Actively involved in academic work, he has publications in various national and international journals and currently serves as an editorial board member and active reviewer for “Acta Scientific Ophthalmology” and "Open Access Journal of Ophthalmology (OAJO)".
