Certain patients may have low vision due to untreatable or irreversible causes such as advanced glaucoma, certain hereditary eye disorders or advanced retinal disease. Such patients are identified by our expert ophthalmologists and referred to Chaithanya’s low vision department, which gives these patients the best personalised care. Chaithanya’s low vision clinic is staffed by experienced and trained optometrists. The patients undergo a thorough examination at the low vision clinic and appropriate low vision devices are suggested to patients, depending on their needs. In addition, patients are also taught how to use these devices effectively.
Another significant function of the low vision clinic is rehabilitation of those who have low vision or blindness. Patients with low vision are given training and counselling so that they can lead an independent life. How do I make an appointment?
