Dr. Abraham Kurian is a distinguished ophthalmologist with over four decades of clinical, surgical, academic, and research experience in the field of eye care.

After completing his MBBS, DO, and MS (Ophthalmology) from Nagpur University, he served at leading institutions in India, Sri Lanka, and Saudi Arabia before joining Chaithanya Eye Hospital and Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram.

He is a Senior Consultant specializing in Cornea, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Orbit and Oculoplasty Services, with extensive expertise in anterior segment surgery and ocular surface disorders.

Dr. Kurian has been a Principal Investigator in multiple national and international clinical trials and has authored several publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals, including JAMA Ophthalmology and the British Journal of Ophthalmology.

A respected educator, reviewer, and conference faculty member, he has received numerous accolades, including the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology Honour Award and the TOC Lifetime Achievement Award.

He currently serves as Director – Healthcare Compliance and Ethics and Senior Consultant at Chaithanya Eye Hospital and Research Institute.
